Our Programs
Generation Health offers targeted community and clinical programs dedicated to supporting families with children and youth on their journey towards healthy living. Families build the foundation for health by focusing on active living, healthy eating, family connections, screen time, sleep, and mental well-being.
- Living with obesity (BMI for age > 97th percentile) OR
- Living with overweight (BMI for age between 85th-97th percentile) and medical/mental health concerns
And needing support with the following healthy living behaviours:
- Healthy Eating
- Physical Activity
- Screen Time
- Sleep
- With no medical or mental health concerns. And
- Needing support with the following healthy living behaviours:
- Healthy Eating
- Physical Activity
- Screen Time
- Sleep
Comprehensive medical, nutrition and psychosocial assessment
Individualized planning around family healthy living goals
10-week group program (virtual or in-person) or alternative support options, as determined by the clinical team
Short term support from Registered Dietitian or Mental Health Professional, as needed
Activity support in the community for the entire family
Referral to specialist and community resources, as needed
Reports to referring providers
10-week group program (virtual or in-person) or self-directed program for children outside the 8-12 age range or if the family is unable to participate in a group program
Ask the Expert group session on
- Nutrition with a Registered Dietitian
- Mental well-being with a Mental Health Professional
Virtual Family Cooking classes with a Registered Dietitian and a child
Mobile App with resources and family challenges
Recommendations to other community resources
Community physical activity access for the family

A referral from a physician or nurse practitioner is required.
The community programs are self-referred.
