Our Team

The Generation Health Community consists of a central team as well as many skilled facilitators from local sites.

Our local site facilitators are the heart of our programs.

Nicole Fetterly, RD MSc
Program Manager

Nicole is the Generation Health Community Program Manager. Her role is to work with our host sites and support them to deliver the program effectively. She also manages the training of our facilitators and all of our curriculum or program updates, based on the valuable feedback our participant families provide or updated health resources.

Nicole has been a Registered Dietitian for the last 17 years and has worked with Generation Health since it began, providing website content like recipes and hosting Q&As and virtual cooking classes with her children, who are now 12 and 15. She has also worked in retail and campus settings as a Nutrition Manager, as well as in acute care. In her spare time, she loves to bake, cook and eat with her family, garden, attend Barre fitness classes and go hiking and camping.

Nicole knows the Generation Health program has inspired so many families, including her own, on a healthy living journey and she hopes you’ll join us in one of our programs. Don’t hesitate to contact her if you have any questions  nicole@childhoodhealthyliving.ca.

Ashley Wilder, BA
Program Coordinator

Ashley is the Generation Health Community Coordinator. She takes care of all the day-to-day operations of the Generation Health Community program; including social media, registration, newsletters, blog posts and family kit mailing. Most families in the program will have their screening calls with Ashley before they are entered into the program to ensure it is a good fit for them.

Ashley is a graduate from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Recreation and Health Education. Ashley is also a recent graduate from the Jelly Academy – Digital Marketing Bootcamp. When she is not working you can find her exploring Victoria’s beaches and trails with her puppy, Cali!

Ashley can be reached at ashley@childhoodhealthyliving.ca or at 1-604-251-2229 for any registration, family kit, or general questions about the community program. She is always excited to get to know all the families who enter the community programs!

Rebecca Jantzen, MSc
Research Lab Manager

Rebecca is part of the evaluation team for Generation Health Community. She is one of the people behind the scenes sending out pre- and post-program surveys (and gift cards!) to participating families. The evaluation team is super grateful to parents and kids who complete the survey questions, because understanding their experiences helps Generation Health Community show the program’s impact and improve the program for future families! The evaluation team also supports the Generation Health Community mobile App.

Rebecca works in the Digital Health Lab at the University of Victoria. When she’s not at UVic, you can find her exploring playgrounds all over Victoria with her three kids, experimenting with new child-friendly gluten-free recipes, or trying STEM-based crafts and activities.

If you have any questions about the evaluation, the surveys, the gift cards, or the mobile App, you can reach Rebecca anytime at generationhealtheval@uvic.ca. She is a big fan of the Generation Health Community program and loves being part of the eval team!

Generation Health delivers programs to families across British Columbia, on the territories of many distinct First Nations. We are grateful to all the First Nations who have cared for and nurtured the lands and waters around us for all time. We acknowledge the rights, interests, priorities, and concerns of all Indigenous Peoples - First Nations, Métis, and Inuit - respecting and acknowledging their distinct cultures, histories, rights, laws, and governments.
