The Generation Health early intervention program was developed using an evidence-based approach and underwent a process and outcome evaluation. The purpose of the evaluation was to assess the reach and efficacy of the program, as well as to gain an understanding of the issues involved in implementing and sustaining program delivery across British Columbia. Child healthy growth check measures (BMI for age), questionnaires, and a child physical literacy measure were be completed pre and post program.
The child questionnaires included measures of:
- Physical Activity and Sedentary Behaviour Habits
- Healthy Eating Habits
- Mental Well-being
- Sleep habits
The parent questionnaire included measures of:
- Family Physical Activity behaviours
- Family Healthy Eating Habits
- Child Mental Well-being
- Child Sleep Habits
- Parent Confidence with Healthy Habits
